You’d never think that a water bottle could be designed any further. I mean they’re water bottles. They’re so simple in concept. But then I came across this thing during my travels to Wal-Mart, America’s favorite corporate filth (next to oil companies of course). I don’t know the brand or model number, but this thing was a gem. It was the last one left on the counter filled with other water bottles.
Now, for why this is great. First off, you can see that there’s two layers to this thing. Within the blue layer is where you fill up the water with ice. Now normally with water bottles if you let them sit for a while on a desk, there will be condensation and a small puddle of water, but not this. The air buffer between the two layers acts like an insulation layer, so you water can stay cold but on the outside, it stays dry. The other great thing is that it has five slightly concave recess for your fingers. And, when you screw on the top lid, it stops at precisely the correct spot so that the mouth piece is relatively aimed at your mouth.
And finally, there’s a nice and durable ring where you can attach it to something. And the mouthpiece cover is a simple flip piece that seals the opening. Overally, everything is just awesomely designed. Yay for water bottle design!
