This guy is all grown up, really. Here’s the interview on Conan yesterday. He’s in Harry Potter, but also in this broadway play where he’s ass-naked and full-frontal. I hear that image of him, along with his facial hair, is what prepubescent girls masturbate to these days. But unfortunately, he’s probably gay, or at least bi. When Conan asked him about watching the Olympic Games, he commented on Michael Phelps’ performance and exclaimed that he was a “magnificent creature.” Daniel’s face looked like he was breathing a little heavy and maybe, just maybe he popped a boner while saying that. He certainly seemed the most excited during that moment that anywhere else in the interview.

It’s the old fart again. This guy just lacks any sort of charisma to appear on a talk show. Check out the videos. Part 1. Part 2. He’s also too damn old. And I cringed when he got all serious when Jay asked him about owning a lot of property, and him trying to play that off. And would he fucking stop mentioning the fact that he spent 5 1/2 years in a prison camp?!?!?!!! We get it. It was hell, I certainly wouldn’t want to be in his position, nor would anyone else. The only saving grace this guy has is that his wife is pretty hot, and much younger than him. That’s about the only thing he has on Obama.

Olympics Opening Ceremony, awesomeness!

Wow, over 15,000 performers at the opening ceremony. Craziness, and an example in tight coreography. My favorite moments were by far the opening drummers and the Tai Chi circle. You can download the drummers video here and the Tai Chi video here. Both are definitely worth seeing. I doubt that Olympics held in other nations could ever pull off massive amounts of performers as China did. The total production budget was $300,000,000. That’s over 10 times the cost of the opening ceremony of the Athens games.

Oh, how true Common.

I was listening to his track, “Be.” There’s a line in that song that goes, “Bush pushin’ lies, killers immortalized.” And thinking back to the Virginia Tech shooting (as well as other significant mass-murder crimes), the killers are forever infamous and are permanently written in the history books. Isn’t that (in part), what they set out to achieve? To let it be known to others that they did something? Look at Seung-Hui Cho’s wikipedia profile. It’s more detailed and extensive than the majority of other famous figures. Remember the Cho’s package sent to NBC with videos, photos, writings, etc.? Well now they are all over the Internet. I’d say he got exactly what he wanted out of this. Immortalized for sure.

Best water bottle ever!
Published August 5, 2008 Design Leave a CommentTags: bottle, Design, ice, industrial design, water, water bottle
You’d never think that a water bottle could be designed any further. I mean they’re water bottles. They’re so simple in concept. But then I came across this thing during my travels to Wal-Mart, America’s favorite corporate filth (next to oil companies of course). I don’t know the brand or model number, but this thing was a gem. It was the last one left on the counter filled with other water bottles.
Now, for why this is great. First off, you can see that there’s two layers to this thing. Within the blue layer is where you fill up the water with ice. Now normally with water bottles if you let them sit for a while on a desk, there will be condensation and a small puddle of water, but not this. The air buffer between the two layers acts like an insulation layer, so you water can stay cold but on the outside, it stays dry. The other great thing is that it has five slightly concave recess for your fingers. And, when you screw on the top lid, it stops at precisely the correct spot so that the mouth piece is relatively aimed at your mouth.
And finally, there’s a nice and durable ring where you can attach it to something. And the mouthpiece cover is a simple flip piece that seals the opening. Overally, everything is just awesomely designed. Yay for water bottle design!

The crudeness of the puppetry behind Triumph — Smigel’s arm is often clearly visible in the shot — has added to the character’s popularity.
